Elijah of Buxton

My 11 year old and I just finished Elijah of Buxton by Christopher Paul Curtis.  What an amazing novel. As funny and profound as Huckleberry Finn. I realize that sounds like hyperbole, but it isn’t. More important, the book proves that middle-grade fiction can be profound.
